I designed the Multimedia Technology BSc (Hons) for the Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Oman, developing and successfully submitting both the academic and business cases for approval. The programme was validated by the University of the West of England and has been running successfully since 2018.
Following the redesign of the Digital Media BSc at UWE and its partner provision with SHAPE, Hong Kong, I was commissioned by UWE to develop a new undergraduate programme for its academic partner in Oman. Working closely with colleagues at GCET, I adapted the structure and pedagogic approach of the Digital Media BSc to meet the specific institutional, cultural and industry context of Oman.
My prior experience negotiating transnational programme design with SHAPE enabled me to balance UWE academic standards with local teaching practices, student needs and faculty expertise, resulting in a robust, context-responsive programme in creative and multimedia technologies.
