In 2005, Ye Olde School, the video and performance installation developed during the PS1 residency, was commissioned for a week-long residency at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff. The project was developed further in collaboration with fellow graduates Joe Steele and Claire Shallcross and presented as a live, site-responsive work.
During the same year, I also worked as a technician on Grizedale Arts’ The Office of Useful Art, installing the exhibition at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham. For the opening and week-long run, I performed within the gallery as part of the Heel Bar installation, cutting keys for visitors and contributing to the project’s performative and participatory structure.
These projects continued my engagement with Grizedale Arts’ approach to socially engaged, performative, and site-specific practice, combining technical, collaborative, and performative roles within institutional settings.
